Why I Built This Minimum Bend Radius Calculator

Sheet metal mein sabse common galti jo maine shop floor pe dekhi, aur khud bhi ki, woh thi ki punch nose radius directly drawing ke inside radius se match kar liya. Koi consider hi nahi karta tha ki material annealed hai ya half-hard, ya bending method air hai ya bottoming. Part crack karta tha aur phir blame press operator pe aata tha.

Iska doosra issue yeh tha ki har material ka R/t factor alag hota hai aur yeh values kisi ek jagah clearly nahi milti thi. Seniors ke paas experience tha lekin documented nahi tha. Yeh calculator usi gap ko fill karta hai: material, temper, method sab consider karke minimum radius deta hai ek jagah.
