Centre of Circle
C = (sx + sy) / 2
Radius
R = sqrt(((sx-sy)/2)^2 + txy^2)
Principal Stresses
s1,s2 = C +/- R

Why I built this

Mohr's Circle is one of those topics that looks intimidating when you first see it in SOM class, but once you draw it by hand a few times it becomes completely intuitive. The problem is drawing it by hand takes time and it is easy to make sign errors, especially with the shear stress convention.

I wanted a tool where you type in your stress state and instantly see the circle drawn to scale, with principal stresses, max shear and the angle all labeled. No more squinting at textbook diagrams trying to reverse-engineer what the axes mean. This is mostly for students studying SOM and working engineers doing quick stress transformation checks.

The diagram redraws every time you calculate so you can see how changing the inputs shifts the circle.
